FAQ

Frequently asked questions about sampling

How much does sampling with Somelì cost compared to shipping full bottles?

+

One 750 ml bottle becomes 7 samples of 100 ml: a single bottle reaches up to 7 buyers. Between lower wine use, lighter packaging and non-fragile shipping, sampling costs drop by up to 90%. Use the on-page calculator for an estimate on your volumes.

Do 100 ml samples reach buyers with the wine identical to the bottle?

+

Yes. Fractioning happens in an inert atmosphere (argon or nitrogen) with Coravin Vinitas technology: OTR below 0.2% and organoleptic integrity guaranteed for over 12 months. The buyer tastes exactly the wine they would receive in the bottle.

Can I ship samples abroad, including outside the EU?

+

Yes, and it's one of the main advantages: the 100 ml format also travels in carry-on luggage, cutting weight and breakage risk. We support you with labels and documentation for destination markets.

Does it work for spirits and sweet wines too?

+

Yes. The technology works with still wines, sweet wines, dealcoholized wines and spirits. We don't process sparkling wines.

How many bottles do I need to start, and how fast do I get the samples?

+

There's no rigid minimum: we design campaigns from a few dozen to thousands of samples. From bottle receipt to finished product takes about 10-15 working days.
